Guest Horse Farm Tour
|
|
10 a.m.-3 p.m.
|
While the membership of TACC
is enmeshed in their riveting seminar on construction law,
spouses and friends of our members can join in a horse farm
tour, lunch and wine tasting hosted by Unbridled Tours.
Guests will board a chauffeured coach for a tour of Darby
Dan Farm, one of America’s oldest horse farms (1788) and
sight of filming of Secretariat, and home to sole
of the most renowned thoroughbreds. Queen Elizabeth II was a
guest at the farm during her inauguration of the Queen
Elizabeth II Challenge Cup in 1984. From there, the group
will tour Donamire Farm, sight of filming of Dreamer,
and then Windstar Farm, home to 2010 Kentucky Derby winner
Super Saver. The tour will then head to the quaint
town of Midway in the heart of horse farm country for a
delightful lunch at Heirloom. Afterward, the group will tour
Equus Run Vineyards and taste fine wines from the
winery. Cost for this day trip is $85.00 per person, and
should be remitted to TACC with your registration fees.
